The flames that rose into the sky,
The smoke that billowed far and wide.
Let the dancers dance about
And draw the people into the crowd.
Wonder, amusement, fear and awe;
These are the expressions that we saw
As they stared into the fire
That kept growing higher and higher.
Light reflected from their eyes
As gray ash darkened up the sky.
And the dancers, how joyous they were!
They danced with feathers, not with fur.
Oceans waves in rhythm with feet,
The fire in the middle giving off heat.
Stand in a circle; gather around.
Just be quiet, don't make a sound.
Grass skirts swaying here and there,
Sand is flying everywhere.
Applause from the people, cheers from one,
The dance at the beach luau is done.

AustriaxReader: Singing in the Shower
It all started about a month ago, when you'd married your High School sweetheart, Roderich Edelstein. "Dear, why don't you sing for me anymore?" You blushed. "It's complicated..." But one day, Roderich heard you singing in the must ironic place possible...
...the shower.
"Edelweiss, Edelweiss, ev'ry morning you greet me...
Small and white, clean and bright, you look happy to meet me...
Blossom of snow may you bloom and grow, bloom and grow forever...
Edelweiss, Edelweiss, bless my homeland forever..."
It was a short, simple tune, from your and Roderich's favorite movies, the Sound of Music.
"Her voice has gotten even better since High

AmericaxReader: Never gonna be alone
'Time, is going back, so much faster than I,
And I'm starting to regret not spending all of it with you...'

Alfred sighed, the end of his senior year in high school came fast. Much faster than he wanted it to in fact. He looked over at (name), his best friend. He barely spent any of the second semester of school with her, which made him even more depressed than he already was, reason being that he thought they would be going their seperate ways for college and not seeing each other ever again.
When the end of the day came, he went outside, walked to (name) and smiled, then said, "Hey (nam

Our Song (Spain x Reader)
I was riding shotgun with my hair undone
In the front seat of his car
He's got a one-hand feel on the steering wheel
The other on my heart
I look around, turn the radio down
He says, Baby is something wrong?
I say, Nothing I was just thinking
How we don't have a song and he says

The wind blew my hair back from where I was sitting shotgun in my boyfriend Antonio’s car. We were having a cross-country road trip and we were on our way to Los Angeles.
I laughed out loud, feeling the wind on my face, and heard another laugh beside me. I looked over to Toni, on hand on the steering wheel, the other holding my hand

Written in 2006 for an English assignment.
The theme was "My Favorite Place," and I was thinking about a beach luau I went to during a family vacation in Waikiki on the island of Oahu in Hawaii.
Just clearing out some space in my Gaia journal, and I didn't want to totally delete this (since I can't find the hard copy of this anymore).
